Fall Foilage

We got out today on a little hike in the mountains to enjoy the fresh autumn air for one of the last chances before it turns cold. Can I just say it was SOOO beautiful!! I haven't seen yellow, orange, or red trees in two years! I love the Fall in Utah! It's my favorite.

Family Dessert Night

So it had been forever since we all got together...well, ok, so only 1 day. We all went to Snowb's fancy dancy apartment for dessert, which turned out to be all kinds of pies! We had a grand 'ol time...I'll have to refrain from uploading face-making pictures as some people might object, but hey, we like to have fun! I think the best part was having a huge glob of super sugary whipping cream squeezed in my mouth, thanks to Picho. I could barely get it down, but oh did I....twice!

Family Names

I will no longer be refering to my family by their names, only nicknames so here you have it....I guess you'll only know their real names if you actually know them. This is gonna be fun! Their nicknames come from some inside jokes....it would take forever to explain... I hope you don't get confused!!

Snowb - my little sister
Picho - my little sister's boyfriend (practically like family for reasons undisclosed..haha)
Lisi - my older sister
Artisto - my older sister's boyfriend (also practically like family..hehe)
Dexter - my one and only brother
Duran - my sister-in-law
Dean - myself

In case you can't tell, I love doing stuff with my family and being with them, especially since I didn't have that in Spain. I went 9 months without seeing any of them. This is the first time we all live in the same place since the days of high school. It's a boatload of fun!

Ryan Shupe Concert!!

Last Saturday all of us went to a Ryan Shupe concert at the outdoor amphitheatre at Thanksgiving Point. It was super nice to be outside to enjoy it! I love the fresh air! Snowb, Picho, and I met up with Lisi, Artisto, Dexter, and Duran for a lovely enjoyable concert. Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband are excellent performers and sound way better in real life. We got to bust our farm dance moves a bit!

Afterwards Snowb and I went and asked Ryan Shupe himself to go out for corndogs! "Corndogs, Corndogs, they are so good to me! Good when they're hot. Good when they're cold. Good when they're fresh. Good when they're cold."

Belated But Beautiful

So this is in honor of Lisi's birthday...I won't tell you how old she turned...that's a secrect between her and me! I didn't post anything on August 30st, the big day, but better late than never? right! (notice I didn't say, right? haha...I already know the answer! hehe)

We all went to dinner to celebrate...Lisi, Artisto, Snowb, Picho, and I...Dexter and Duran were unable to make it. We went to Carraba's and had the best Italian food ever...although it only took 5 times to ask the waiter to bring the vinegar to eat with our delicious bread...funny stuff!

I think Picho had a little too many lemons...

P.S. Beautiful refers to the three of us

Afterwards we had a semi-surprise party for Lisi in her new condo. Snowb and I broke out the sparklers and Lisi blew out the many candles (haha, j/k) on her cake. It's said that there was a giant piƱata full of chuches, but Snowb and I left before the big unveiling ceremony.

¡Feliz CumpleaƱos Lisi!

Say What?!

Lisi and I were driving home from church (this was a while ago) when we saw this sign at a gas station. I did a double take! Did it really say what I thought it said?! I mean, how could the place not know what it said? It had to have been on purpose...

Out of shape??

YES!! This is probably the worst I've ever been out of shape. Being in Europe for 9 months with no gym didn't help much. When I got back to AZ, I was going to the gym and in pretty good shape, but that was only a couple weeks. Being here in UT teaching, I've been sooooo busy and just haven't found the time to exercise regularly. Although, my recent exercise has been longboarding everyday. I went on a hike with my roommate the other day....needless to say I was huffing and puffing very shortly. Haha! That didn't last too long though.

So....last night I went to the gym and JOINED!! Yea! So hopefully I will be going everyday or close to that anyway. My ward also plays basketball and sometimes volleyball so that will be a good variety anyway. So now I'm back in action!

Rafting!

So some of you know how much I love my raft. I'll take it anywhere there's water....lakes, rivers, ponds, canals, and yes...even my swimming pool! I hadn't taken it out all summer so I got the crazy idea to raft in my pool. Great laughs! Allison and I each had a turn rowing. It was kind of cold but SOOOO worth it! I think some neighbors thought we were a little crazy...hehe

Longboarding Adventure

Happy Labor Day! So I thought today was going to be a wasted day with all the rain in the morning. It cleared up later, though, so Allison and I hit the boards. We went longboarding on the Provo River Trail for a good couple hours. We had so much fun that we went back out after FHE with a fellow longboarder in the ward. He was pretty much a pro so we got a few good pointers. There were no major crashes so it was a successful adventure. It was fun longboarding across State Street with everyone staring at you!
