1/1 Ringing in the new year with fever & chills.
1/2 I looked like death going to the grocery store to load up on top ramen.
1/3 Barely endured 2 hours worth of ridiculously detailed instruction from my new landlady, Professor Trelawney, before collapsing upon my bed.
1/4 Resolved to start studying & was doing a good job of it until D called 5 minutes into it.
1/5 My conscious effort of making wide eyes to increase my field of vision today while walking around the store only made me realize my fear may indeed come true: my 10 days of puffy eyes may become PERMANENT. Help.
1/6 Met & sat next to a moderately attractive, super tall 3rd year medical student at church today.
1/7 Waiting 2 hrs for my Madigan badge is NOT my idea of orientation.
1/8 My worst nightmare #2 almost came true today - computer orientation started at 8:00 and I woke up at 7:35. A divine intervention of a network failure and subsequent postponement was the only reason I made it on time.
1/9 Attempted IV insertion twice on a poor patient before a medic took over.
1/10 Did a pretty darn good job of suturing the forehead of a 5 year old kid after the medic told me not to make him look ugly.
1/11 Thought I was going to be late picking D up from the airport, but surprised him instead!
1/12 Better weather at the coast than in Portland?!
1/13 Thank goodness for late church so we can continue our outside freezing sightseeing to Multnomah Falls.
1/14 Barely missed the drainage contents of a giant pilonidal cyst as they shot out at me upon incision; unfortunately my shoes can't say the same...
1/15 Still spilling plenty of blood on my IV insertions.
1/16 First day in the main ER: 2 chest pain patients and 5 hours of sitting waiting for labs to come back.
1/17 Feels weird having a weekday off from work - guess I'll eat some cinnamon toast crunch, pizza, & chocolate chip cookies.
1/18 First day on the late shift,
2 pm - 12 am; worth it to see that ruptured TM.
1/19 Someone ate my leftover pizza!! Better not touch my cookie dough...
1/20 Worked my first Sunday in my whole life, not planning on making a habit out of it.
1/21 Worst ER patient: "My doctor froze a mole on the back of my leg a week ago, but it hasn't come off yet."
1/22 I haven't worked out in literally a month, yet still I made chocolate chip cookies and bought candy. I'm on a slippery slope...
1/23 First day working out in a MONTH! What is wrong with me?!
1/24 Had a Spanish-speaking patient today! Everyone was duly impressed with my skills.
1/25 Loving the ER, but would really like to be able to follow up with my patients sometimes, like when thigh pain turns into Paget's disease.
1/26 Three different Targets to find the skirt I wanted.
1/27 Unable to raise my hand for sustainings during ward conference today since my records are still in Portland. Not a big deal, but 4 different people each had a set of names to be read.
1/28 Ten hour shift turned into thirteen and didn't get home until 3 am, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
1/29 A lot more autonomy in the fast track today!
1/30 Got the heck pimped out of me today by PA McCrum in the main ER, but learned TONS.
1/31 Big day - was able to see a fracture myself on a hand x-ray before reading the report from the radiologist or talking with my preceptor. Making progress!
2/1 Kicking myself for accidentally sitting on the wrong side of the plane on my flight to SLC... turns out I got to see Mt. Rainier after all!
2/2 D has basketball skills after all!
2/3 Impressed by how many people introduced themselves to me in D's ward (and told me they liked my outfit). I need to do the same...
2/4 Sure felt like an idiot being pimped today on simple foot anatomy. Let's just say I better study WAY more.
2/5 And the sugar craze continues...chocolate chip Reese's cookies.
2/6 My last day working in the Madigan ER... oh wait, I mean Urgent Care Clinic.
2/7 Turns out I became a celebrity over night... the main ER doc I worked with stopped by yesterday & told all the PA's how impressed he was with my performance, my improvement, & excellent charting skills. So they all read a few of my charts & were duly impressed!
2/8 I was reminded how lonely Tacoma was after a night full of fun with my Portland friends.
2/9 Lyndsey and I celebrated our birthdays at Salt & Straw, along with Greg & Joe. An older lady behind us was also celebrating, then ended up chatting with Joe in Spanish for a while. Her son told me, "Sorry for stealing your boyfriend." Ha!
2/10 Four hour road trip down to Ashland to begin my surgery rotation; too bad it was dark the whole way down, I love to see the sights!
2/11 First day of General Surgery... is it really going to be mostly observing in the clinic?!
2/12 Morning full of observing colonoscopies & upper endoscopies - brutal.
2/13 Surprised by D with a box full of beautiful tulips & chocolate (yes, the chocolate is already gone)!
2/14 Sadly spending Valentine's without D... good thing I have Downton Abbey to catch up on!
2/15 First time going to the temple in almost 2 months! Feeling guilty...
2/16 Excellent views of the Rogue Valley after hiking Upper Table Falls in shorts and a t-shirt.
2/17 First of many Google Hangouts with my siblings! Why must we live in four different states?
2/18 I first-assisted in both surgeries today! A right hemi colectomy and an appendectomy.
2/19 After a sunny warm weekend, I was shocked to wake up to snow!
2/20 My preceptor talked for an hour straight about class action lawsuits and drug companies, theorizing about how to significantly cut healthcare costs; I could barely get a word in!
2/21 Teased at work today since I went in for a hernia surgery, but it got cancelled at the last minute.
2/22 Ruined my 2 day workout streak (BIG deal for me at this point) with a not-so-tasty donut.
2/23 Lois was surprised to see me all dressed up ready to go to the temple since I'm always kickin' it in sweats at home.
2/24 Sariah is coming to Hawaii with me for all 6 weeks! Best phone call ever!
2/25 Embarrassing... I had to bow out on a surgery, started to feel light headed. And it wasn't till the very end!
2/26 Stepped up my involvement today by feeling prostates before starting the colonoscopies.
2/27 Got blood squirted all over me during a supposed lipoma removal, turned out to be a ginormous cyst!
2/28 You know you're old when you meet a patient you feel like you could be friends with, until you find out she's 43 years old.
3/1 Finally got dressed up & went out for dinner with a classmate for the first time in WEEKS.
3/2 Boy does it feel great to start eating salads again!
3/3 Bishopric must have been impressed after listening to my testimony today because now I'm speaking next week (and my records aren't even in the ward)!
3/4 Five surgeries today, the same amount I've done in the last 3 weeks combined!
3/5 Ate a whole $5 Little Caesar's pizza by myself for dinner. That's what starving in surgery all day does to you.
3/6 Only in Oregon do patients schedule their surgery based on moon phases rather than day of the week.
3/7 Saw a Toxic Megacolon up close and personal today, in fact I stapled the incision closed after emergency removal.
3/8 FINALLY, I convinced the Urgent Care to do some blood work on me since no one else would. Have probably lost a third of my hair now...
3/9 Blah, burned 2 batches of cookies. That oven has a mind of its own!
3/10 The table at Linger Longer consisted of half dessert & half main courses made w/ nothing but carbs. How healthy...
3/11 One surgery at 8:00 am and done for the rest of the day! Good thing I get to spend the rest of the day studying for a test...
3/12 FINALLY. I made it through a full day of surgeries without having to bow out early because of lightheadedness.
3/13 Sand volleyball in the afternoon sun following a hard day at work.
3/14 Performed my first punch biopsy today, all on my own without my preceptor's supervision. Booyah!
3/15 After self diagnosing iron deficiency anemia, I ate a ginormous delicious hamburger with crispy onions, smoked bacon, & BBQ sauce - may be the best burger I've ever eaten!
3/16 Finally passed my end of rotation assessment, after nine tries that is.
3/17 Sad to say goodbye to everyone at church today, especially my closest friend - the Bishop's wife.
3/18 I had to hold back the tears of wonder and joy while observing my first C-section today.
3/19 Emergency intussusception surgery bright & early this morning - not only did the kid have SIX intussusceptions, but also a Meckel's diverticulum and a retrocecal, abnormally long appendix.
3/20 Very sad to leave Ashland today, but glad to be done with surgery. I do love blood & guts, but I hate standing all day.
3/21 Afternoon at the aquarium with Kate and Lucy. I love being an aunt!
3/22 Nothing like a family outing to J'Dawgs and the BYU Bookstore.
3/23 Morning spent at City Creek Center with the family and afternoon/evening laughing our heads off during minute-to-win-it games at our rockin' family Easter party.
3/24 Can't remember the last time I actually got to sit in the emergency exit row...
3/25 After getting a lousy 60% on the 4 hour, 225 question Board prep test, I have GOT to do better at studying.
3/26 Against my better judgment, I picked up a pizza for dinner. Why?
3/27 If I could talk Mom into letting me join the National Guard, I totally would. Instead, her response was "FORGET IT! With a capital F!"
3/28 Reached a point of maximum stress today while trying to make my 4:30 doctor appt. - was told I'd have to write a paper for leaving class early, called the doc to warn them I'd be late & they'd only wait 15 more min., then got stuck in rush hour traffic. Ahhhhh!
3/29 Learned 3 dental injections today, including the infraorbital that only Anya & I learned. Loved it!
3/30 Midnight flight to Roatan, Honduras!
3/31 Greeted by 15-30 clinic volunteers at a beach house potluck, sure didn't expect that many!
4/1 After thinking a patient was saying "adicción" when he was really saying "inyección" and Joanna figuring it out (who doesn't know any Spanish), I realized just how rusty my Spanish truly is.
4/2 Eaten alive by sand fleas on the beach, but at least the delicious coconut fish afterward made it all worth it.
4/3 Saw four patients completely on my own today with just minimal consult with my preceptor, feels great!
4/4 Accidentally dumped Joanna out of her wheelchair tonight after hitting a speed bump I didn't see; that's what you get for rubbernecking.
4/5 Went back to my former life today and worked in the farmacia all morning, no pharmacist to check my work.
4/6 Volunteered at a health fair this afternoon on the other side of the island.
D and I broke things off today, with maybe a possibility in the future. A relationship just shouldn't be that stressful...
4/7 Miraculously ran into the missionaries the day before so found out about General Conference. Watched both sessions at the church & met a lovely family from Kentucky.
4/8 Longest day of my life judging a science fair competition this morning THEN working a shift at the clinic this afternoon.
4/9 Finally J and I got some sun this morning! Two new good looking ER residents at the clinic.
4/10 Tried to joke with our taxi driver on the way home from dinner, but he's far too serious.
4/11 Caught a gecko in the apartment tonight, just a little bit of a chase.
4/12 Finally! We went snorkeling this morning!
4/13 Beach Heaven at Frenchy's, my new favorite beach spot.
4/14 Didn't do ANYTHING today since my stomach was acting up. Food poisoning?
4/15 Turns out our fried fresh fish plate for lunch, down the hill from the clinic, wasn't fresh at all. Tilapia is a freshwater fish, not ocean fish.
4/16 Actually cooked in our kitchen for dinner, but after finding numerous bug remnants in the cupboards never again will I cook in this kitchen.
4/17 I ate lionfish for dinner, tasty!
4/18 Women's health day - Joanna and I had a morning full of breast exams & pap smears. Glad it's over.
4/19 Always a good day when one of your patients tells you she thought you were a model & was surprised to see you as her doctor.
4/20 My dream come true... an afternoon catamaran ride.
4/21 Played some awesome sand volleyball at the most beautiful beach of West Bay.
4/22 My whole backside fried after 2.5 hours of snorkeling.
4/23 Washed my hands at least 5 times after seeing a patient with full body scabies, couldn't get out of that room fast enough!
4/24 Had the most amazing fresh fish lunch, accompanied by fresh mango juice... heaven.
4/25 Joanna and I made the most amazing guacamole for dinner with friends tonight, definitely the hit!
4/26 Showed off my sexy move on the dance floor (dropped my backpack like it was hot).
4/27 Asked out by a taxi driver today. He asked for my phone number and I turned him down.
4/28 Wish I could take evening strolls on the beach every day.
4/29 What?! No avocados for our baleadas today?
4/30 Manu drove us to Flowers Bay JUST so we could get some coconut puffs.
5/1 Labor Day in Honduras means kicking it with the peeps at the beach.
5/2 Joanna and I each ate a whole mango for dinner; cannot get enough!
5/3 Wow, ate out for all 3 meals - banana pineapple pancakes & fresh fruit for breakfast, baleadas for lunch, and lion fish tacos for dinner.
5/4 Smoothies and plantain chips on the beach... the day can't get any better.
5/5 Terrible lunch AND dinner. That's what I get for eating out on Sunday...
5/6 Spent all afternoon and evening working on homework, blah.
5/7 Wondering what the heck I was thinking when I bought 5 coconut puffs today... When am I ever going to eat them?
5/8 I picked up a giant iguana today!
5/9 What better breakfast than a mango and coconut puff for my last day in Roatán?
5/10 Sick AGAIN? I just had a cold less than 3 weeks ago.
5/11 Flight to Hawaii for my Dermatology rotation, reunited with Sariah!
5/12 Everyone at church is seriously half my age and half my height. Also, Auntie makes the BEST food!
5/13 Greeted at work on the first day with a beautiful fragrant lei.
5/14 Alopecia totalis on a thirty year old lady. The body can do some weird things.
5/15 The German doctor I work with is 84 years old and the cutest, almost like a grandfather rather than a preceptor.
5/16 Surfed for the first time yesterday (ahem, attempted)!
5/17 A day full of beach hopping, one just wasn't enough.
5/18 Saw a seal parking it on the beach today. Where are all his friends?
5/19 Auntie & Uncle feed us such delicious food!
5/20 Today was the start of a MAJOR workout routine. Gonna be super sore tomorrow...
5/21 Finally went back to the temple after a 2 month hiatus, never again...
5/22 Sugar intake today: 1 brownie for breakfast, 3 lumpia (Philippine fried banana goodness), a slice of chocolate haupia pie, 2 brownies after work, a handful of toffee chocolate covered macadamia nuts, 1 more brownie, and a spoonful of half baked Ben & Jerry's ice cream. DISGUSTING.
5/23 Jumped off Jump Rock at Waimea Bay. Check!
5/24 Crap. I chickened out half way up Stairway to Heaven hike.
5/25 Can't wait to learn how to play the ukulele I bought at the local swap meet today!
5/26 Cannot believe how ridiculously sore I am today after our hikes over the last few days.
5/27 Turns out running the 3 miles to Shark's Cove was a BAD idea... still way out of shape.
5/28 Stuck inside ALL day today due to a torrential downpour of rain.
5/29 Lunch at Costco ALWAYS makes the day better, especially when it's raining.
5/30 Passed by a short Polynesian at the PCC who exclaimed, "Wow...you're tall..." He must have been like 4 feet tall.
5/31 Ate the most delicious hamburger EVER at Kahuku Grill.
6/1 I can now check skinny dipping off my to do list.
6/2 Visited the USS Arizona Memorial today. I'm amazed that the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor & killed so many people just to block the U.S. from interfering with the takeover of European colonies for more land & resources. Just like the Book of Mormon...
6/3 First day back to work after my 11 day vacation.
6/4 Slowest day of my life! 6 patients cancelled and 5 didn't show, which means we saw 7 patients total.
6/5 Punch biopsy today!
6/6 Got eaten alive by mosquitos on our two waterfall hikes today.
6/7 Figures... whenever I plan a beach day the sun never comes out.
6/8 And when the sun DOES come out, I end up with major allergies on the beach.
6/9 Made some Polynesian friends at church today.
6/10 Last day sharing my drive to work with Kelly, my fellow PA friend. Sad day...
6/11 After waiting 30 minutes in line at Kahuku Grill, we finally had to leave to get Kelly to the airport on time for her flight. Boo.
6/12 I LOVE that Wednesdays have become my Fridays here in Hawaii.
6/13 My days off from work ALWAYS seem to be ruined by the rain.
6/14 After hiking straight up a volcano, I feel my legs are going to be sore for DAYS.
6/15 Surprised Uncle by showing up at his puppet show gig. He was the happiest man on Earth.
6/16 Crushing on a redhead...??
6/17 Celebrated Sariah's last day in Hawaii with an acai bowl, followed by some good old fashioned skinny dipping.
6/18 Sadly said goodbye to Sariah as she left for home.
6/19 Found out I got an interview for an ER Residency I applied to in California! It would be a dream come true.
6/20 Spent a good 5 hours on the beach on my last day in Hawaii.
6/21 The handsome redhead I was crushing on finally called, but too late... flight back to PDX.
6/22 Caught up with Joe over a Pine State biscuit and spicy ginger ale for dinner and a banana nutella waffle for dessert. This is why I love Portland!
6/23 Moved into my cute little house in a hippie neighborhood on the East side, excited to be closer to the action.
6/24 Traumatized my poor feet with blisters by wearing brand new shoes on the first day of my trauma rotation. Big mistake.
6/25 Jump started my transition to working nights by going to bed at 4 am.
6/26 Worked the FIRST night shift of my life last night. 12 hrs wasn't so bad...
6/27 Made some tacos for dinner... my first time cooking in a REALLY long time.
6/28 Did alright playing tennis tonight, considering I hadn't played for probably about 10 years. Still got beat though...
6/29 Very happy to run into the Madsen's, Sister Schopen, and Sister Stevens at the temple today! (worked on the same shift)
6/30 Google Hangout with the siblings today! Lucy and Kate are getting so big.
7/1 Bad day at work... was really challenged, not to mention busy and stressed. I feel like I have digressed in my education... should have studied more in Honduras & Hawaii.
7/2 Emotional shift at work today... I performed chest compressions on a female involved in a motor vehicle collision who went straight to the OR and assisted in her surgery, but she did not pull through...
7/3 GAH. Now there are 2 residents on night shift so now I hardly get to do anything.
7/4 Waiting on the top floor of the hospital for the fireworks show downtown to begin when I got paged for a level I trauma direct to the OR - a stab wound to the heart, something open heart surgery couldn't even fix...
7/5 Turns out Shakespeare in the Park Portland style means no rehearsal practice, carrying lines in hand, and hilarious impromptu interruptions. Not what I was expecting...
7/6 First Tinder meet up at The Grilled Cheese Grill - 6'2" 31 year old male from San Diego studying to be a chiropractor with master's in sports medicine.
7/7 Put a chest tube in a patient today (first one)!
7/8 Skyped with Mom while she was in Jerusalem. Only wish I could have been there too!
7/9 And this is why night shifts are the worst: getting woken up by a lawn mower RIGHT outside your window 2 hrs into sleeping.
7/10 Complimented on my mad parallel parking skills by an older gentleman who observed me squeeze into a tight spot like a pro (don't worry, just a few weeks ago I couldn't do it and had a friend take the reigns). So you can't be consistent in everything, right?
7/11 MY LAST NIGHT ON THE NIGHT SHIFT. Can you tell I'm excited?
7/12 Pretty sure I word vomited my way through my Emergency Medicine Fellowship interview today...
7/13 My study session in Cathedral Park turned into a phone catch up session. At least I got some sunshine!
7/14 NOT a fan of working Sundays... At least I'm back on the day shift!
7/15 Yes, working with Dr. Barbosa is as awesome as his name.
7/16 Put in a solid 14.5 hour shift.
7/17 Working the trauma clinic in the afternoons is a MADHOUSE. Who on earth schedules 4 patients in the same time slot?!
7/18 GOT ACCEPTED TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICINE FELLOWSHIP IN CALIFORNIA!
7/19 Second Tinder meet up - tennis with a 6'7" hunk. Even though I lost, I gave him a good run for his money! Also of note, actually cooked for the first time in MONTHS.
7/20 Dinner at Por Qué No Tacquería with Joe, DEFINITELY worth the one hour wait.
7/21 Did I really go to bed at 9 pm? That's what working 12 hr days does to you.
7/22 Another pleasant surprise phone call from my California Tinder beau.
7/23 Woke up disoriented having just dreamt I was being chased by a big pack of gila monsters, never a good start to the day.
7/24 Discovered a patient today will an allergy to "mango flavor." Ha, yeah right!
7/25 Almost cried today during a patient visit... held it together, but it was hard seeing a patient's wife keep it together so well with her husband who couldn't talk OR move following a severe brain injury due to a motorcycle collision.
7/26 Another delicious dinner with Joe tonight! Except my burger was still mooing...
7/27 Saw a 101 year old patient today and she was so with it! Just worried about getting home so she could take care of her flowers :)
7/28 Finally back to church after being gone for a month. Distinct impression from the Lord after the sacrament, "Everything will be ok."
7/29 Working half days (which actually turned out to be 8 hrs instead of 12) are GLORIOUS. Actually got in some sunshine, studying, AND exercise.
7/30 Finally made it to the Pepper Box food cart (New Mexico food = green chilies) after my third attempt. Worth the wait!
7/31 My last day of rotations and last day to ever introduce myself as a PA student. Glorious!
8/1 First rainy gloomy day in a long time, perfect for studying ALL day for my comprehensive exam tomorrow.
8/2 My 6'6" black neighbor tried to hit on me from across the street, first asking how tall I was and then asking if I had a guy. After telling him I did (a blatant lie), he told me where to find him should I reconsider.
8/3 Joe and I ate our hearts out this morning for breakfast. Literally so stuffed that I didn't eat anything again until 7 pm.
Also, got some sunshine and a short hike in today at Trillium Lake.
8/4 Sat around for the looooongest time waiting for 1:30 church to start. I only think it seemed longer because it was fast Sunday.
8/5 Afternoon well spent at the pool with a giant sized Diet Coke in hand after successfully completing the last of my final exams. Booyah.
8/6 Turns out I hate shopping, which is only compounded when unsuccessful in your shopping attempt (graduation dress).
8/7 It's always a good day when you find a snickerdoodle in your boxed lunch.
8/8 Probably drove 3 hrs worth around town today trying to complete errands.
8/9 Received my PA certificate today!! I am now a PA-C, pending I pass my boards of course :)
8/10 Graduated with my Master's in Science of PA studies today. Officially DONE!!
8/11 Spending a few days with the family at the Oregon coast. Love those guys!
8/12 Campfires on the beach complete with dogs, mallows, ocean waves, stars, family, and lots of laughs are the BEST.
8/13 Day three eating fresh fish. I could get used to this.
8/14 I maaaay have spent close to $300 today on clothes and make-up...
8/15 My fabulous friend Brittany took me on a tour of Nike campus and got me into the employee discount store where I may have spent $200 (oh come on, everything was half off!)
8/16 Well, I did it. I successfully ate at McDonald's, Taco Bell, AND Pizza Hut... all in the same day. And in that order. #gross #heartattack
8/17 While waiting in line at the gas station, an old man asked me what sports I played, then after I answered he turned around and walked right into a rack of chips. Classic.
8/18 Back to the YSA wards of Provo... everyone is just a wee baby.
8/19 First day back at the gym in ONE YEAR. #monumental
8/20 Bees game with Erin, followed by an iceberg milkshake.
8/21 Hike + gym workout today. Gotta be hard core to get in shape!!
8/22 Learned how to make 2 ingredient cookies (bananas + oatmeal) -- my new go-to snack.
8/23 My annoyance at waiting in line FOREVER at the post office dissipated quickly when the mail worker chatted it up about me becoming a PA and wished me luck on my exams. #everylittlebithelps
8/24 Uh wow... kiss on the first date. Too bad I'll prob never see him again... #outofstatevisitor
8/25 My new ward here in Provo is full of babies.
8/26 Put 4 hours of consecutive study in today and it almost killed me. How on earth am I going to take a 6 hour test?
8/27 Ice cream for dinner-- my new favorite, Tillamook mudslide. Followed by a Diet Coke while I study :)
8/28 Finally back at the pool after a stretch of bad weather... limited days left! Why must summer almost be over??
8/29 Caught up with my dear friend Amy tonight over Cafe Rio! I seriously only ordered ONE taco?? #whatswrongwithme
8/30 Mango sushi AND mango ice cream?? Best tinder date yet!!
8/31 You realize you're glad you don't have your own kids when your sister's kid leaks out from her diaper all over your sister's lap while on the plane ride to Denver. #gladitwasntme
9/1 The WHOLE family reunited today for Axel's baby blessing. Yep, we pretty much talked about food all day. #welovefood
9/2 High scoring baseball game today! Rockies 8 Dodgers 10. Perfect American tradition on an American holiday. #laborday
9/3 The best part about being single in a family full of married people is having your own hotel room. #gonnamissthatkingsizedbed
9/4 I would call 6 hours of great conversation and getting home at 2 am because of it a successful first tinder date.
9/5 So lazy today that I didn't even wash my face until 5 pm.
9/6 I could get used to leftover Guru's everyday for lunch... #cilantrolimequesadilla
9/7 A beautiful morning at the Utah State Fair complete with corn dogs and cotton candy.
9/8 I like being the new girl at church...
9/9 After 9+ hours of studying today let's just say I'm shot. #mustrepeattomorrow
9/10 Was complimented on my "sophisticated" way of speech by my date after I pointed out that my shaved ice was not "indicative" of the true flavor of tiger's blood-- mango & pineapple were masking it.
9/11 I ate a whole bag of skittles for dinner tonight. #studyfood
9/12 My third time playing tennis this summer (and in the last 10 years) ended in a tie-- each one set and one game #thenthelightswentoff
9/13 Last baseball game of the season was a success-- victory, hot dogs, cracker jacks, 7th inning stretch, fireworks, cute date.
9/14 Lunch date IMMEDIATELY following the food tasting fest today. #timeforstretchypants
9/15 Four hours of church today-- so much for the Saturday night session. #stakeconference #slightlypainful
9/16 After a month in Utah, I finally got a Cafe Rio salad-- so dang good.
9/17 Literally had bright red eyes after ending my loooong all day study session. #sohardtofocus
9/18 Bike ride up Provo Canyon to get some fresh air and exercise-- been waiting to take my bike out for WEEKS. #glorious
9/19 Up at the crack of dawn to take my 5 hour board certifying exams. Now I get to sit tight for a week before I find out if I passed.
9/20 My favorite mountain biking trail has been destroyed-- rain, fire, or landslide? The new trail is not my favorite anymore. #firstdayofnostudying
9/21 Three items checked off my Utah bucket list today on my super date with Mr. Basketball-- Oktoberfest at Snowbird, the MOA, and Slab Pizza.

9/28 Fortunately made it to the RS broadcast at the Conference Center with only 10 min to shower and get ready after a full day at Antelope Island.
9/29 First day taking a nap in aaaages.
9/30 Delighted to see one of my former students in a temple session after hearing, "Miss Anderson" whispered loudly.
10/1 Disappointed to find out the Pleasant Grove reservoir doesn't even compare to the Spanish Fork reservoir. #farsuperior
10/2 Ate donuts after hiking to Donut Falls. #howfitting
