Love/Hate Relationship

No, this is not about boys. You'll have to wait on that one. So I've been in Portland for little over a month now and I realized today that it really is a love/hate relationship. Maybe that will change later down the road, but here's why:

I love how green it is here.
I hate that it rains so much.
I love that there are dudes to pump your gas for you.
I hate that you can't talk on your phone while driving.
I love that's there's no sales tax.
I hate the traffic.
I love happy hour food.
I hate that you have to buy a soda (or alcoholic beverage...you don't have to worry about me...) to be able to order the happy hour food.
I love the rolling hills here in the city.
I hate the layout of the city - so many twists and turns.
I love the granola-ness of the city.
I hate having 4 different trash cans.

That's kind of the same way that I feel about Mexico. Most days I love it. But there is definitely a day here or there when I hate it. Maybe it just comes with the territory when you leave your comfort zone & everything is new!

You haven't been there a month, silly!!! Has it really seemed that long already? Just remember that all those trash cans are making our world a better place. :)
